Los Angeles CBS affiliate KCAL is mourning the lack of a beloved anchor.
Chauncy Glover, an Emmy-winning journalist and night anchor for the community, has died, his household shared. He was 39.
“We, Sherry and Robert Glover, together with Chauncy’s beloved household, are devastated by the unimaginable lack of our beloved Chauncy,” the Glover household wrote in an announcement to KCAL. “He was greater than a son and brother—he was a beacon of sunshine in our lives and a real hero to his neighborhood.”
Chauncy’s household went on to have fun his work outdoors of the newsroom, together with The Chauncy Glover Mission, the mentorship program he created—after witnessing the dying of a teen whereas on project in Michigan—for younger males in underserved communities that helped them gown for fulfillment and turn out to be, as he stated on the group’s web site, “ethical leaders of society.”
And it’s that keenness for constructing neighborhood is what his household sees as his legacy.
